When you set your target to the wall, the center of the target must be exactly 5 '8 "from the ground.

Throw Line

In 1977, the World Darts Federation (WDF) standardises the throwing distance at 7 feet 9 1⁄4 inches (2.37 metres) for steel tip darts. This measurement should be taken from the front of the board.

The same year, the soft-tip darts revolution begins in the USA. The throwing distance is fixed at 8 feet from the front of the board for these.
