Play Tic-Tac-Toe on your dartboard, it's possible and fun.
Tic-Tac-Toe is a fun game for 2 players or teams. It meets the rules of the pen-and-paper game with darts.
The goal of the game
Getting a tic-tac-toe just like the regular game by having three X's or O's in a row horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
Playing the game and score
Three tic-tac-toe boards are drawn on the scoreboard, 1 small one in each of the two player/team's columns and a larger one in the center. The small ones are used to mark what each player hits and the big one is used for the actual tic-tac-toe game.
The numbers that are used for the game appear on the dartboard with similar placement to the tic-tac-toe box they represent (B means bullseye).
In order to place an X or an O in the big game board, a player must "close" the number first in the small game board. To "close" a number, it must be hit 3 times. A dart in the "simple" zone worth 1 hit, a dart in the "double" zone worth 2 hits and a dart in the "triple" zone worth 3 hits.
Here is how to write down the score :
Variation
There is an "Open" variant to the game of Tic-Tac-Toe which consists of choosing the numbers to reach by yourself, instead of the default numbers listed on the score sheet. How you choose these numbers is up to you.
In the case of the "Open" variant, use the score sheet whose boxes are blank to enter your personalized numbers.
